Yep, as a former drummer who defended Ringo as underrated back in the day, now realize why he rode an exercise bike during the "I Feel Fine" video. There's no way he could mime the recorded version simultaneously playing the Latin style rhythm on the bell on his ride cymbal, tom-tom and snare drum. Btw, similar drumming in parts of "Rollover Beethoven"!!

I always find people's awakening moments fascinating. This gentleman's journey should not disappoint as it sounds like he was a pretty hardcore Beatles fan & musician. I hope he shares where he was from and alternative research perspective around the time his Beatles narrative came crashing down. Just curious because for me, I doubt I would have ever gotten on the other side of what the Beatles were truly about without first going through what this world is truly about and who runs it and to what end etc, etc. Look forward to his account. :)

Similar for me I guess. It started with a "why are post-Beatles [Lennon/McCartney] not as 'genius' as they were in the Beatles?" It kind of nagged at me, I kept dismissing it (not being a musician). And you know what, the "Paul" story is the thread that undoes it. He was supposedly the genius that wrote out songs on napkins (one thinks of the Beatles' heyday, how catchy the tunes were) - but his post-Beatles stuff was nothing like the level of the Beatles era, some good, even very good, sure, but not that 'super brilliant' level that was in the Beatles' heyday. The math doesn't math. And once you question it, the Cinderella story evaporates.

When I was face to face with George Harrison one evening during my shift at Westlake studios May 1988, I couldn't help having a deep case of beatlemania "fever" while our eyes locked together for that brief moment. I'll never forget George looking back at me with a curiously perplexed expression on his face. Moments before that I met Tom Petty in the lounge handing him his 6 pk of Michelob beer with no problem, in fact I was kind of a wise ass to him. LOL.

Just listening to Ringo play on Beatles albums from1967-1970, his drumming chops aren't quite what they were with the earlier recodings
