It is wild to me that Oda had a version of the story that skipped this Elbaph. The God's Knights, the Harley, Scopper... the old plan must have had plans for them but this arc feels so essential to the story that I can't imagine a version without it.

It’s the first time I’ve been caught up for the START of a new arc so it’s interesting to be here weekly. I really love how following the breakout of the block world it’s pretty much just been rapid and intense exposition

Honestly I feel like it isn’t what I expected it to be like but it’s still amazing. Theres a lot of lore going on and it’s pretty fast paced. Theres so many theories about how it’ll go.

This arc is just so good. It's beginning phase already had so many reveals . But Egghead is still my favorite arc.

I like the villains, but they still don't feel threatening enough. On the other hand, I'm really liking Loki and I can't wait for more of him.

Loving it! I feel like the strawhats are being set up for a lot of character arcs. Franky with the Adam tree and a chance to upgrade Sunny, possibly into pluton as we know BB knows where pluton is now and I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to get it. Robin with the chance to protect protect both Saul and the legacy of Ohara. Brooke recognizing the holy knights seems significant, maybe it’s related to his past as part of a kingdoms military, and there’s also his connection with gunko through his music. Sanji and the parallels with scopper gaban present a clear opportunity for growth of his character. Chopper might get a chance to remove the sword from Jarl’s head and potentially unlock his memories from the death of king harald, which could vindicate Loki. There seems to be a ton of focus on the strawhats specifically which is a nice change of pace. Most new world arcs have focused on the islands and their inhabitants more, which has been awesome in its own way but you love to see the strawhats getting some love here. I wonder what ussops story arc will be! He’d been dreaming of Elbaf warriors for so long not now they’ve become pacifists so I wonder if he’ll get the opportunity to wow them as a warrior the way dory and brogy did on little garden, and maybe that will inspire their own warrior spirits. Would be a really cool way for Ussop to finally realize his dream :)

Lore, Loki, the general flavor of Elbaph, Strawhat character moments, the GK as antagonists have all been pretty good. The biggest point of frustration is that there’s not really any clearly defined main antagonist, and it’s not really clear where the arc is going. But the payoff could absolutely still be worth it in the end. What we’ve seen so far might parallel Water 7 or Jaya/early Skypeia — setting up the pieces before kicking into full gear. Don’t think we’re at the halfway point yet. Not by a long shot. And I feel like not many people are talking about the fact that there’s a whole third realm of Elbaph that we’ve so far seen nothing of, and which might connect to the White-White Sea

Genuinely been a delight, I’m looking forward to seeing how everything pans out, and with all the speculations on Harald + Loki. As well as the introduction to Shamrock, his sword Cerberus sword, it’s getting my hopes up for a clash with our resident sword boi. The start to the arc compared to the situation we find the straw hats in now, feels like night and day in comparison, considering how high the stakes feel now. Just been an awesome time.

Oda has been on absolute fire recently. Loving this arc. Very interested to see what direction he ultimately takes the story of this arc. It feels like we’re not quite done with the set up yet.

Overall net positive: 8.2/10 Some chapters feel like a waste of time while others are the most important in the series. Besides Loki, the giants are underwhelming.There is more good than bad though.

It really feels like we're getting close to the end. We're getting massive reveals about the world in an arc that in many ways has felt like a pre time skip arc. I also am predicting Loki for Grand Fleet by the end of it!

didn't like the lego part too much at first but really love the balance of the world's history & starting to gear up for the threat of the final war.
