Indeed. Such will only add unneeded drama and clashes. May Allah guide us all to sirat al-mustaqim and keep us firm and free from such ignorance, Ameen.

"I think we should follow up on these posts from Br. Paul to learn, re-learn, and reflect—whether we are truly on the safe side or not, and how much we need to work on ourselves. Let us not turn this into an opportunity for gossip or backbiting about others, but rather a means of self-improvement and sincere reflection." May Allah keep us steadfast on deen.

It also means quarrelling with Allah, swt. … Allah loves those who follow his commands willingly. ‘We hear and we obey’.

Many people trying to give their own Commentary of this hadith from the top of their head. Ibn Hajar Asqalani says regarding this hadith and other similar hadith: Aladd” (الألد) means extremely stubborn in argument, derived from “al-ladeedān” (اللّديدان), which are the two sides of the neck. The meaning is that no matter from which angle he is engaged in dispute, he remains strong

That is why the land of Gog and Magog have a corner for this. Hyde park where one can have a perfunctory discussion with another party which does not care at all if it is the truth, they just want to argue.

One of Dante's circles in Hell was for those who abuse language. In a quarrel language will eventually be twisted and demeaned. Think about it. Dante may be right.
