Both have pitfalls and blindly doing anything is bad. I am going to say that blindly opposing it is worse because as the species we are currently facing several challenges which AI in the broader sense than just LLMs, may prove a very useful tool.

We already know what it is to live without AI, we've done it since always, so I'd say blindly trusting AI is definitely worse

Biological systems are great. I love my cat more than anything. But let's get this straight: in the long run, efficiency trumps everything. Turns out biological systems suck at efficiency. If you want to be around for the long run, go with AI. Not only is it the better option, without it, you're toast.
