I like a mix of both :) Playful ambiance and information, that is less important - then a cut to no bg music and the main points get underlined by silence. As there is nothing else to listen to and all attention and concentration is held by the voice, words and apparently more important information it intrigues me more. Perhaps it is comparable to Ghibli movies, where there is music but also calm or even silence. The visual information in those scenes are - at least for me - much more distinct and i am able to better grasp and process what is happening. Or comparing it to rl: do you turn down the music to better see while driving and/or parking? That's the thing i'm talking about. In silence we experience more vividly, can concentrate better, live in the moment. With noise there is always something else but the one thing our brain has to process. Obv not talking about some neurological brains or/and dopamine junkies, it seems that you guys need that to concentrate

i personally dislike the quiet asmr ones, i like when its kind asmr with lo-fi or soft songs, jazzy songs too in the background. it feels very cozyy and i dont know almost anyone who does this kind of content tbh

That kinda depends on how the person talks. Your videos definitely sound way more calming and relaxing with quiet music

I never notice music so honestly I don't care much unless it's distracting

quiet/ambient bg music, but perhaps just a few occasional sound? not throughout the whole podcast, can be quite distracting.

I prefer no music, because most videos with any kind of music, even if it is technically considered bg music, puts the music way too loud(*which may not be loud for other people) and then I can't hear what the person is saying anymore because of APD (Auditory Processing Disorder)

A video about your favourite artist or artsyles! I just love hearing people gushing about art!

music is sooo distracting honestly i take in info better without all the nonsense behind you. if it’s silent b-roll or a compilation of smth, then use music

If you're watching/listening to a longform podcasty art video, which do you prefer?
