Shaw I'd say honestly. And not just Deckard. Owen too. In Deckards case he was former SAS until he was stabbed in the back, left for dead, and set up by Brixton. In fate of the furious he knew Dom wouldn't kill him and saved his one and only son from Cipher. Went even further with the following film. In Owen's case he didn't have his redemption until near the end fast 8 when his brother was forced to bring him to save lil B.
