1- people who are nice to get something. this is not even kindness, its just survival. 0% altruism. ex: being nice to your boss to get a raise
2- people who do good things to make others happy. this is better, but think about it: they do it because it feels good to help others. they feel like a better person. it has a benefit, therefore not altruist. ex: feeding the poor (to feel like youre in a moral high ground)
ah, so in order to be a good person, you have to think little of yourself, and have that feeling be unchangeable. okay! then,
3- the next step is being unable to feel good by helping others. you do good actions, but you simply can't feel any better if they're beneficial or not (even towards others).
well? in this case you'd see no difference from doing something evil instead. so youre not doing a good action, youre simply not doing a bad one.
do you see my point?? if we make someone so careless about the benefitial outcome, they become so nonchalant they genuinely can't tell apart good from bad.
so then, true kindness doesnt exist. humans and all life forms are egocentric all the same because its mathematically impossible to make a balance out of care for outcome and will to do the right thing.
