With Sacred And Terrible Air The Audiobook now basically wrapped up (still the soundtrack video to go up on Thursday), I'd like to thank a couple of people in an obscenely long community post, without whom this whole thing wouldn't have been possible.
First off, thank you to Robert Kurvitz and Martin Luiga for writing/editing the original novel, as well as for creating Disco Elysium and getting me into this great fandom.
Thank you also to Group Ibex for lovingly translating this story into English and making it semi-coherant to read. Actually, two days ago they did an interview for the Human Can Opener podcast so check that out if you want.
Thank you to all of the cast that took part in this (image 1), for making this easily the most complex audiobook I've done so far, even if it's not the longest, you all did really well and gave it your all. Social media for all of them if you want to support them (image 2).
I'd like to thank 3 VAs in particular, first is SirSon, who had by far the most lines of anyone in the story even with just one character, thank you for bringing Inayat Khan to life in such a great way.
I'd like to give a big shout out to Allie Bones (image 3), who graciously stepped in to voice MÃ¥lin and Khan's mother after the only other two women in either of my servers couldn't do it, always appreciate the generosity of internet strangers (getting paid also probably helped lmao).
And of course a MASSIVE shout out to our Special Guest, Lenval Brown (image 4), who I still can't believe actually agreed to be a part of this, and who of course did an absolutely incredible job, as he always does, and was also very nice to talk to over Zoom about it, such a gentleman.
And finally, I'd like to thank YOU, the viewer/listener, for enjoying the audiobook, and all future listeners as well, whose support means the world to me! I love reading things on the internet! It is so much fun!
All 4 episodes of Sacred And Terrible Air: The Audiobook are out now, with a bonus soundtrack video coming on Thursday. Link to the playlist is below, and thank you for reading!
