So the video I made about the $19 wooting... TLDR its a $19 hall effect keyboard. Now I recently checked the price of the keyboard and it has gone even lower than what I bought it at, at only $11.68 USD.

At this point, I'm certain that they are doing this on purpose to sell at a loss and gain brand recognition. But hey, the consumer wins in the end, and I'm all for lowering the price of entry to get a competitive edge.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Taobao's national subsidy agreement only applies to people living in china (Source: I am Chinese)

Nah, I bet it's because the Chinese government has forced the manufacturer to put listening devices in the keyboards and they're selling them this cheap to get into as many households as possible. The Chinese government owns a LOT of parent companies and manufacturing plants in key sectors in China, that you may have otherwise thought were privately owned. Does no one remember why Huawei was banned? Do you think that's just a one-off incident? Those devices will relay whatever information is passing through your network that you used those keystrokes to log into. They literally just found a bunch of these devices inside of cheap Chinese solar panels here in the US. Who knows what the hell else they're in. You may say, 'that's fine, there's nothing I do that would be of any worth', but, out there somewhere, is someone who may potentially buy something in a scenario like this with one of these devices inside, who has access to sensitive information regarding something that the Chinese government DOES have an interest in.

Yeah sell at a lost to gain market share is typical Chinese business practise. Once they gain market share all these too good to be true prices will cease to exist. You can see this in Xiaomi and Oneplus. So enjoy it while you can.

As a guy that has used around 8 chinese HE keyboards 🤓 (I sell them to try another cheap HE keyboards and never received any complaint so far) They are good enough for 99.9% of use cases especially fps games (The 0.01% is for any game that requires 7+ keys to play at the same time eg 7K) I think yeah there's some truth about the 'sell at a loss' part They also do some other tactics like reducing the chips but not to the point that it can't have 8000hz and RT just enough to look 'stable' enough for FPS games like valorant as that's the main target of these Chinese HE Manufacturers (I still don't really get the hype of going for lower RT ngl) You can try Fun60 Pro by Monsgeek as I think it's the semi decent brand that doesn't look like a scam at first glance. It's one of the best if not the best HE Keyboard on the 99 Yuan range performance wise imo ,but man the shipping fee sucks I have no choice but to use Sea Freight. Gone are the days where they only thing you can buy on this price range are the usual Redragon Keyboards or Membrane and personally I think everyone should give these keyboards a try especially if you just play fps games as that's their specialty(As I said earlier) If we talk about reliability> performance I would give something like this Irok ND63 Pro($23.5 for some reason in my country if you really want to save some money you can buy the base version as the only difference are the switches and keycaps) > Ace 60 Pro ($36 I bought it from a scalper since I can't buy their products directly) > Fun60 Pro ($19 could be lower if it wasn't for them being sneaky about shipping also note about this is it has a chance of freaking out eg.asdfghjkl;' are not usuable as they're constantly being tapped according to calibration at the same time, but I think they've fixed this already ig

To make and assenbke that keyboard in china would probably cost aroun,d $1.50 -$3 pretty much everything on AliExpress is single buys from bulk orders you can make on the alibaba site, where the price per unit is like $2 but you can only buy a minimum of 100 in one purchase. Chinas tech assenbly is dark, and cheap. Tech has come so far since the first hot swap pcb and china looooooves ti copy, the xaomi EV is a carbon copy of the porche tycan.

So happy to see this. W**ting disgusts me. They buy Chinese parts and rebrand it as their own product and charge immense amount of money for it. Good job!! Wooting door de plee, weg dr mee. If you want a really good keyboard, sikakeyb is the best out there currently.
