Brutal news, Neil. Hope you’re able to recover your items. If not, hopefully the insurance payment comes quickly

The important thing is that you both are well! I am a U.S. expat living in Costa Rica for 9 years.🏖 I have not experienced any form of crime, since living here. Previously, I lived and worked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also known as "Killadelphia," with 3 or 4 murders a day

I can’t even imagine what you’re going through. So sorry, society sucks everywhere. In the US even if they caught whoever did it they’d let them off with a stern warning!

Unbelievable!!! I know stuff like this happens to "tons" of people all over the world...but still unbelievable how bad things are everywhere. I'm happy to know that you two are physically OK. Take care. Stay safe.

I know you’re a born-again Christian. Material Possessions are “just stuff” I like how you said that. Thank you, Lord and Savior Jesus that You and your wife are safe….

So sorry to hear about this. We in South Africa are also among the most robbed in a country where crime runs rampant. Relieved that you are safe and haven't been harmed🙏

Glad you're okay. Sorry about your sentimental items. It's not losing the items that hurt so much, as the precious memories or people associated with them.

Neil McCoy-Ward
The very first night in England for our Summer break and we get robbed. Only off the ferry for a few hours driving South and a gang steals our van with all our possessions (& clothes).
I never thought I’d be back to just having the clothes on my back today. I literally have nothing but the jeans & t-shirt I’m wearing & my phone.
The Police said it was a professional, but random attack. This is exactly why I left the UK. Too many criminal gangs in the Country running rampant now.
We’ll be fine… I’m just venting because some of those possessions had sentimental value. But it’s only ‘stuff’ at the end of the day…
See you all soon
