The way people have antagonized the naxalites is just plain propaganda. My friend's dad apparently had some contract to build roads in a forest area where some tribal communities still live. (This was like more than a decade ago now tbh) After he went there to start the project, some naxalites attacked them for encroaching on indigenous groups' area and also destroying nature over there. Basically they left without finishing the project, after a few years the naxalites in that area were killed by the government and the project is now finished. Anyways my friend kept telling me how "illiterate" and "dumb" those tribal people are for supporting the naxalites, because they're stopping development and that they'll always be poor without connecting to the rest of the world. I tried explaining to her that most tribal communities are self-sufficient, and we don't have to force people to do things they don't want to. I explained how connecting with the world could affect their lives (like having to be considered a "lower" caste and unable to practise their beliefs due to discrimination, having to participate in capitalism) She was like you don't get it, anyways it's all good because those "terrorists" are dead. That's when I realised how far-right our country is, and how much the media uses propaganda.

Hey, love your channel and as a Latino it is superbly interesting to learn about our brothers from south asia. Just wondering if there are any plans to release the 6h uncut version?

You should talk about the horrible Cast system in Buddhism as well.

Scooting over to your Patreon to watch now. I still plan to watch and comment on the video you release on YouTube, but I always prefer to watch your uncensored essays that YouTube is allergic to 😂

The extended cut of my next video on the history of the Indian left and the naxalite movement, is up on Patreon for tier 1 Tusker subs. It's been edited down from around 6 hours long to 2 hours. Thank you all for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated in these trying times!
Due to the nature of the topic, which is quite frankly fraught with danger, this video has taken a while to release. In the video, I discuss corporate interest and extraction at length, and naturally, the history of the Indian left. You cannot talk about the Indian left, without talking about the naxalite movement.
The youtube friendly version will be up this weekend, ideally tomorrow, once I've taken care of anything that might cause the video's reach to be limited or blocked, or even my own a$$ to be cooked lol.
For now, if you'd like to support the channel and become a member to check out the extended version, here's the link - www.patreon.com/posts/andor-irl-maoism-136448451?u…
