The Off Grid Experience

Any recommendations for a small portable sawmill? Looking at getting one for upcoming cabin build...if I can figure out how to get it to build site.

@TheGardener50

I used Timber King for years. Mine was a 2000 with full hydroelectrics and computer control but they have lots of less expensive, easy to use and a great warranty.

Woodland Mills is probably your best bet for affordable portable sawmills. I got the Bushlander. Has worked great for me. Woodmizer would be my second choice.

I’ve had a portable Norwood mill for a couple years now. I’ve milled a lot of logs and lumber with it. Been real happy with it. After you do get a mill check out Jerry’s Resharp in KY for your blades. I’ve tried many different brands and his are great.

Why not just use an Alaskan sawmill if it's a issue getting a regular sawmill to the location
