Caerumos the Dragon

Reading Wings of Fire and remembering it's a children's book series is like finding those "children's" Bibles, where they take a lotta those otherwise dark stories and make them all bright and cheerful. It's not a criticism, I think it's best that we don't lead kids into believing the world is all sunshine and rainbows, I just find it funny how I'm gonna have to explain the series to people.

Like...saying "this is the Jade Winglet! Though they've been cut short because one friend died in a terrorist attack while the other is a fugitive with the terrorist who bombed the school in an attempt to stop a murderer" has the same energy as "look at happy little Noah dancing on the ark with his animals while God floods the world to wipe out society for producing angel/human hybrid abominations".
