Stripes are lines, which depend on which way you lay them. Vertical lines are more rigid, giving of a sense of professionalism and making the room seem taller. Horizontal lines give off a sense of peace and calm. Diagonal lines have a sense of action and direct the eyes. Dots are sporadic and often unpredictable or following no pattern, which is why they’re often used in children’s rooms.

dots stand out a little too much and they can be extra but stripes can be discreet while still adding flair to it so in my opinion stripes offer more discreet yet detailed approach to many things including outfits
