Top 3 favourite animals for 30 years were mantis, octopus and chameleon. Id probably choose octopus between them.i became a cat man a few years ago tho

For what favorite? Camouflage? I find octopus cooler because of its biology and they vast array of emotions and ig also for camouflage

They both change colors but the octopus can change texture from bumpy coral look to smooth slime look in seconds and to give points to the chameleon it can’t change texture BUT it has the best weaponized tongue in the animal kingdom and yes there are a few runner ups but the way they use it is incredibly fascinating every time they use it plus they have a prehensile tail that can be used to grip branches or even in camouflage to break up their silhouette to predators and prey a like and as a somewhat of a bonus point chameleons have armor while the octopus does not if think about it chameleons have hard scales and compared to the octopus that is a weak shield so basically this a long way of saying both are net even
