Back in the day, I paid $400 for a Smash Ultimate + Switch bundle. Today we have a Mario Kart World + Switch2 bundle for... $750. Like... how could the price have doubled in just one console generation? And it's not just the console (bundle). The price of the pro-controller has also nearly doubled. Something really stinks about this whole thing. Either way, I am definitely not in a hurry to buy a Switch2, then. Although I will be quite sad if this becomes the norm. I believe the only people who have a legit reason for buying a Switch2 are either parents with kids they wanna make happy, professional gamers, or filthy rich people with too much time on their hands. The rest should probably not bother, especially if they're not sure they'll have the time to properly explore these new Switch2 games. Basically, think very carefully before you upgrade from your original Switch. With these things in mind, I honestly think it's very likely you will regret it, if you do.
