I don't see why it's necessary to ban Lab Coat 21, even if her tools are way better than they should be. Under that logic, we should have the fusions banned since people complain about them almost as much as people complain about LC 21.

All I’m saying is that some people don’t really understand if you take away two of her things for command grab it’s still broken it’s like Vegito and Gogeta (Blue) like she’s perfect because now the fusions players are like “oh she’s broken” ok and? That doesn’t mean you have a broke character as well she’s a character to level up the playing fields.

I refuse to believe she’s so busted that there’s no answer for her that would incite tournament banning. From what I’ve fought online? All of the youtube stuff with her seems like gaslighting the general public into thinking she’s this crazy broken character. It’s new character bias.

Think of it like this. If we took 2 SonicFoxes, and 1 was using a staple, optimal FighterZ team pre Lab Coat release, and the other was using a team that was STRICTLY being carried by Lab Coat, he doesn’t even use the other 2 characters, you’re telling me that the Lab Coat team would just win outright? I don’t believe you. Lab Coat just simply hasn’t been out long enough or really done anything that would make me believe that narrative.

There’s no reason to ban her bruh. The character is still new so there’s still time to figure out her counter play and who her best to worst matchups are. I do understand that she’s very strong but that doesn’t make her unbeatable. It’s more so the type of player that is using a character that can make a character seem unbeatable combined with your own knowledge of a character as well as the character matchup.

I don’t think there’s anything all that wrong with the de buff in itself (to be honest I think the overall damage in this game is a little overtuned so that obviously affects my perspective) it’s that most of the other characters don’t have anything anywhere near as strong. If every character had tools as strong as lab 21 I wouldn’t see it as an issue (as opposed to like Sheeva in MK11 where her drop just sucked to deal with no matter what) and I honestly think that would make for a pretty fun and dynamic game. Tbh although the de buff is annoying I think lab 21 actually feels like the most “complete” character in DBFZ although I’m coming into it from NRS games where almost every character has a relatively huge toolkit so my perspective is skewed. Frankly I think the de buff could be pretty easily brought back down to earth with a couple changes. Put some condition for removing it (for example landing a super gets it removed for that specific character but landing a level 3 gets it removed for that character and it can’t be reapplied, something like that) and boom it’s balanced (enough for DBFZ I mean)
