Damn.. I didn't like this album. Loved all their previous work, but this just sounds kinda like a cheap pop/trap/rock album. Some AMAZING peaks but the rest was disappointing for me. Just my personal opinion, still love and support their music though.

the new album is just pop music. and of course everyones gonna be like "you're just a hater" but theres like 10% of it that is "heavy". its literally just snap clap moaning and piano. I liked some of the earlier stuff but this is uninteresting to me. I like heavy music and this album just isnt. I couldnt finish a single song.

I wish people would stop calling Sleep token metal though, i like the album for different reasons, But for everyone too say that they're the most popular metal band is crazy eventually this will lead to copy bands, and then the metal genre is dead, kind of like what architects and bad omens did to the metal genre, metal isn't heavy anymore. ( not counting architects new album tho that was a good comeback) also when sleep token does a metal section of the song it's really good but it's only 10% of the time but I can't put them in a metal playlist because of all the different genre's

I'm open for conversation on my opinion, as I know it likely isn't the popular one here - while this album has deep lyrics and had an awesome build up to its release, it really falls short of the hype to me. It's a great album overall, but not one I'll be coming back to like their last release. It was a one listen for me. Some songs I'll come back to but not a cover to cover playthrough. Every song sounds similar on this album. I catch a lot of repetition in melody from previous releases etc. Not saying it's a bad album, just lacks the massive peak in the playthrough that really brings it together. It's like a build up that never takes off. Again...to my ears.
