I needed this today after reading an entire thread of people saying it is the individually worst episode of the entire series and single handedly responsible for ruining the pacing of season 2 which has got to be one of the most horrid takes ever but it really took off for a moment.

My fav detail about their episode is how the dance scene is in 4 frames per second, to show Ekko’s time manipulation abilities like 😭

The important thing about the FACT that Jinx is still alive, like come on, we know… Is that she seemingly chose not to go back to Vi later to tell her. For Vi, she will be able to live with that because she has Caitlyn, she’s finally (with some heavyhanded encouragement from her sister) allowed herself to live a life outside of her fears and guilt, a life that’s about just loving someone else in an equal and reciprocal way. Her arc, her story is basically over. The fact that Jinx didn’t seem to tell her she survived speaks to her future. What will she do? She’s flying away to do in some way what Ekko said, to build something new. But the final shot seems to indicate that she’s leaving Piltover behind to do it, even though I think a scrapped scene had her and Ekko have some kind of moment together after he saved her. While she does have people who love and care for her here, the Undercity loves her, Ekko loves her, Vi loves her, Caitlyn’s even forgiven her. She chose to leave anyway. And yeah she does have pretty heinous crimes hanging over her still, they can’t just ignore that presumably. What I’m feeling like this alludes to regarding her future is that she feels disconnected still to Piltover, like she doesn’t have enough of a place there, certainly not enough to want to try her luck elsewhere, a fresh start. What kind? Well that’s what I presume to be next for her. She’ll be a wildcard in some other Arcaneverse series, maybe in Noxus with the Mel/Black Rose storyline we can be sure is coming. Part of this is I think alluded to in Isha’s Song by Eason Chan, which several times includes the lyrics of being a “carefree flying bird”. I’m sure a part of her choice is to without restriction fulfill a childhood dream of taking flight to explore, to see the world. Maybe even she doesn’t know what she’s looking for and maybe even that road will ultimately lead back to where she started. Maybe part of what’s keeping her away is shame. She’s hurt her sister, hurt her sister’s lover, hurt her own would be lover, seemingly failed her dad again. But she’s going to need to be apart from all of them before realizing she doesn’t have to leave them forever. It’s not enough for her to just swoop in and rescue them all one last time, that’s not reconciliation, she isn’t whole. They would want to see her again. Even Caitlyn was sat there ruminating on how she could have survived, because she knows what it would mean to Vi and would want that for her. But Jinx’s story does not end with her letting everyone who loves her believe she’s dead forever.

Wow, thank you Schnee! You my friend have some of the best analysis videos out there (generally but also especially for this series), always a joy to see a new one coming out✨🙏💙 And seeing the next topic is Jinx's path already has made me excited!! I think almost everyone at this point is on the same page regarding her survival (we all saw Kait looking at that blueprint) and I believe we will definitely encounter her at some point in a later series, maybe even have a whole narrative again with her and whatever main characters there will be introduced to us. I would love a meet up with her and Vi or Ekko (accidental or not, and btw I don't know if it's clear who understands she's still alive, so definitely some drama at some point), and also how finally getting away from Piltover has changed her mindset. But I don't see any of that happening any time soon...😅 Happy Holidays everyone!

Very late to the party, but did anyone notice that as soon as Powder is introduced in the alternate world, Jinx is in the reflection of the glass? Insane! 🤯 I might be off but I think we get a glimpse of Silco early on at the barber shop and Sevika in the city square during Heim’s banjo performance to

I think Ekko X Jinx/Powder is a very interesting ship simply because of its character complexity and potential story telling opportunities. Despite that, I personally don't ship them and see them in a more platonic or familial relationship. Even tho it's definitely canon as a relationship. Riot was definitely teasing the shippers and I can appreciate the complexity of Riot's details in the series and storytelling in both Arcane and LOL

So happy to see more arcane content from ya hun! (I remember watching your Catvi analysis videos in 2021, so it makes sense that I come back to see more Arcane stuff from ya lol) This being said, I need some time to sit down and watch this fr! Also just a question, but are you going to do analysis on Catvi throughout s2 or Jayce and Viktor (as well as Jayce and Mel?) I’d just like to see your two cents on it !

Schnee you make great analysis videos and talk a lot about what's good "as a writer" or "to improve your own writing" -- what have you written and where can we read some of your stories?

I did have a thought on the is jinx dead thing! So they were in the off shoots of the tunnels of the hexgate that were likely meant to help in case of the hexgate itself having problems and theoretically overheating or radiating whatever it may be that it expels Her bomb was powered in part by a hextech gem and perhaps some of that energy was siphoned off into the channels? (Could be completely wrong) but in watching the scene frame by frame, you can see some runes carved into the cave/cavern’s walls that started to glow blue. This possibly could have decreased the explosiveness of her bomb? Maybe?

EKKO VID IS LIVE!!
Timebomb episode was MY FAVORITE in the whole season. There is SO MUCH to dissect!! The episode's tone is fascinating! The counter intuitive way it develops Ekko's character in a way that allows him to talk Jinx out of ending it all is SO nuanced! And of course the idea of the PRESENT that it explores is truly profound. Hope you all enjoy!

Next video will be about the question of whether or not Jinx truly died at the end, and how that question ties into her arc. If you have any thoughts, let me know!
