Agreed. Those batles was brutal and was a fighting for survival in infernal conditions they managed to held the soviets and withdraw. I heard the 5° SS Wiking Division made a heroic defence during the Korsun pocket.

Research Material Needed!
Many of you have incredible fathers, grandfathers, or great-grandfathers who served on the Eastern Front. I'm currently looking for real firsthand accounts from 1944 to early 1945 during the brutal winter battles of Narva and Cherkassy.
Whether they fought for Germany, the Soviet Union, or as volunteers from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, or Estonia, etc, I want to hear their stories. WE NEED THEIR STORIES, these men and their time are fading quickly.
I'm working on a powerful new documentary covering the savage fighting of 1944, the Soviet resurgence, and the role of European volunteers in these forgotten clashes. If you have any letters, photos, memories, or family accounts, please reach out. Your history matters. Email - warstoriesbusiness@gmail.com
