I've come to break the silence with some important news: I will likely move away from YouTube as a creator in a couple months, and start posting on a PeerTube platform instead.
I am doing this because I've felt the need to make videos/content that align with the almighty algorithm. I just no longer feel like making videos like that anymore, for a bunch of reasons: I set the bar for quality way too high, The videos were opinionated and oversimplified, just to name a few.
Not only that, but I have seen time and time again how YouTube disregards both creator and viewer demands. YouTube also seems to no longer be politically neutral in the light of recent events, although that is mostly a hunch at this point.
In short, I want to make content in a place where I am in control again, and my viewers aren't served mind-numbing ads every 10 seconds.
I will keep putting updates here to make it easier for everyone to access my content, so stay tuned for that. With that said, have a great rest of your day, and let us meet again soon!
