@Atem

hi guys. my apology. i think the question is wrong to ask at the first place. i got it from chatgpt. the question should be what happen instead of what is the chain and resolution order because jinzo didn't resolve at the first place. so the answer is b

@diffdimgamerseven9986

B. Jinzo is automatically negated by an already activated skill drain.

@El_Bellota

Jinzo doesn't activate an effect so there's no chain. He just gets summoned while negated.

@DisneyWizardYensid

You are NOT CORRECT. If Skill Drain is already active, then Jinzo’s effect doesn’t resolve.

"Skill Drain" only works if it was active BEFORE Jinzo hit the field. Even if Jinzo get summoned and your Opponent activate "Skill Drain" it won't work.

@The_Lord_of_Cryptids

Jinzo's summon revolves, In the normally instantaneous moment between Jinzo hitting the field and his effect activating*; his effect is negated by Skill Drain because it was already on the field *I don't think this is how it actually plays out as per rules. Rather, it just handles it by oldest effect having priority as an exemption to the normal continuous effect rules. However, I think this is a good visualization of how it plays out in a way that makes it easy to follow

@pomukel1

Jinzo has no on summon trigger effect what exactly is there resolving? There is no chain

@add2cardsfromtopdeck

Super simple. There's nothing to "resolve" because only card activations and activated effects "resolve". Jinzo's effect is continuous. So the only correct answer here is B

@SmartScroll-m7v

I picked B and im confused why its not correct.. Jinzo's effect to negate traps' effects does not activate. In your example skill drain is already face-up on the field and its effects applies first, therefore Jinzo will be summoned with its effect negated. Skill Drain negates all effects on a monster card so essentially they become normal monsters. If Skill Drain is on the field first, Jinzo's effect is null and void. I think I have a magazine somewhere that specifically answers this question. Atem, it was not wrong to ask the question in the first place. It is good to know.

Skill drain will affect jinzo. I had the same situation with rising rebellion falcon and power sink stone. The trap had already its 2 counters for the effect to be active,and it affected the unaffected bird

I think the question should be 'when active skill drain, opponent chain and special summon jinzo, what will happen?'.

@AnhNguyen-h8h9t

Bro, even the Uneffected boss monster could be negate if their summon after Skill Drain resolve

@darkl5771

if skill drain is already face up the jinzo would be negated but if jinzo is already face up then skill drain cannot be used I think u can use skill drain on summon but skill drain would get negated

I've been to regionals before and asked judges in advance about this same issue when Jinzo + Skill Drain was once an issue to discuss. B is the answer. It's basically whichever card hits the field first, will work against the other. Jinzo is passive, but if Skill Drain is already activated before it hits the field, it will be negated. Vice versa. This was a ruling that was in place since 2012.

Both same on field continuous condition, not in same chain. So who's first active and still active win. In this case, since Skill Drain active first, and its not negated (temporarely), all monster effect on field got negated. If Skill Drain negated temporarely, later Jinzo effect apply to negate Skill Drain since Jinzo was "on the top". Later on if Jinzo negated, Skill Drain back active since its "on the top". I maybe wrong since Im not top or meta players, so apologize

@SrXplus

Skill Drain only negates the resolution of activated effects. Jinzo have a "passive" effect that its always active
