I learned how to cook this summer, has to be easily the most valuable thing i have learned. It's also very fun, satisfying, and attractive to women (the latter shouldn't be your reason for learn how to cook its just a plus).

Knowing to cook is one of the most important part of self sustaining. Without food you are always dependent on others.

I love cooking, i cook great but cooking doesn't lead you to aesthetic physic. I started working out at home, focused my cooking around protein, and now i getting towards the physic.

I won't explain why but, my mom is usually the one who cooks for the entire family, and one day she had to stop. Now everyone including my siblings just order food or go out to eat the usual (mcdonald's, kfc any bullshit you can think of) they're not bothered by the price since my parents pay for it all and they don't complain cause they get to eat all sorts of shit. This is a big issue for me, because I simply cannot digest anything that's from outside especially fastfood, they always make me feel sick, nauseous and on a side note I'm acne prone. I'm still in school, i've got exams and I wanna get more control over my diet.

In pretty much 100% of self-improvement content, one of the most common advices is to go to the gym.
Diet might be a secondary suggestion, but it's kind of brushed over pretty quickly.
I use to think it was a chore. If I wanna look good, just cook mounds of rice and dry chicken.
I fell down the instagram rabbit hole of cooking reels, and it's completely really reframed the way I look at cooking as a skill.
I'll explain.
If you know how to cook well, there is a 99% chance that you have your life together.
The skills and traits that go into a well cooked meal such as:
- Patience
- Attention to detail
- Discipline
- Creativity
- Organization
Are all things that bleed into EVERY OTHER aspect of your life.
You can't bullshit cooking a good meal. There's INSTANT feedback.
Unlike going to the gym where guys will spin their wheels for YEARS and have the same skinny fat physique.
You instantly know when you've cooked something disgusting.
The outcomes of being a good cook are also insane.
- You will develop an aesthetic physique
- You'll have more energy and be healthier
- You're saving money not ordering out
And the biggest one - you're developing the ultimate life skill of nourishing yourself and those around you.
A lot of guys will try and bypass this skill by cooking the same chicken + rice that they force themselves to scarf down, instead of building one of the most aesthetic skills you can possibly have.
Start cooking well.
Look up guys like @notorious_foodie on IG.
The skills are mind blowing.
