Recently, a group known as β€œCapotrolls/Capo” has been targeting many channels that focus on Kaiju Paradise content, especially smaller ones with only a few tens of thousands of subscribers or less – including my own channel. Even though I used to make KP content and have now completely stopped, my channel is still at risk of being taken down by Capo. Many of my videos contain copyrighted music that I am officially allowed to use by the copyright holders, and they can still exploit that to try and wipe out my channel. Malody 1411, Wlf_Woz, and even one of KP’s moderators, Muoletta, have also been attacked by Capo. Some of them have managed to get their channels back, while others are still in the middle of the appeal process.

As a Kaiju Paradise content creator (in the past), I need to warn you about how dangerous this group is. They abuse YouTube’s copyright system by sending false DMCA strikes, often using fake legal names and claiming ownership of music or assets they do not own. In some cases, they go after channels repeatedly, hoping the owner will panic, give up, or lose their channel entirely. Several KP creators have already lost videos and even whole channels because of them.

Until YouTube properly addresses this kind of abuse, I strongly recommend that you hide, unlist, private, or temporarily remove your Kaiju Paradise content and avoid streaming it, especially if your channel is small or heavily relies on KP. Please make sure to back up all your videos and thumbnails, keep records of licenses or permissions for any music or assets you use, and stay alert for suspicious copyright emails or claims.

If you receive a copyright strike that looks suspicious, do not panic, but take it seriously. Double-check the claimant’s information, contact YouTube support or @TeamYouTube on social media, and talk with other KP creators to see if they are being targeted too.

Please protect your work, protect your channel, and look out for each other. Thank you.
