Forum question: When looking at an older car, with a view to buying it, how hard can you tap areas of potential rust? And what can you tap with?

they have some shortcomings but so does every vehicle. It’ll still be there in another twenty years time which is a lot longer than most cars, I daily’d my 90 for 9 years until I bought another car including 15k miles in one year. If I want something fast, economical and comfortable I’ll take my Scirocco now, but driving my 90 ‘anywhere’ (except LEZ in Scotland until the car turns 25) makes me happy. BMWs have never done it for me but I’m happy to live and let live, if we were all the same that would be boring.

It’s up there as one of the best so far, couldn’t stop laughing, (spoiler) the carspiracy about a Tesla on the moon was just too good 👌

I mean....slagging off Defender owners?!? How could you?? I really enjoy my comfortable...ish Defender. Heated leather seats (from an Audi A3, granted)...auxiliary diesel heater.....remap (gamechanger, in fairness). 420d as a daily and Defender at the weekends. I can't explain why I like the Defender, I just do! Don't @ me 😉🤣 Love the channel lads - keep it up p
