How do you plan and manage your time between work, boat projects, and travel activities? In particular, do you find it challenging to focus on work given the unpredictability that comes with traveling by boat?

As a photographer/videographer I’m always interested in the gear folks use. What cameras do you work with and what editing software do you use? Also, is your boat life open ended or do you have plans to stop living aboard at a certain time?

What has been the best surprise since living on the water? If you could take Pivot to anywhere in the world, where would you go? Now that you’re more experienced boaters, what would you tell yourselves from a year ago as you geared up for this journey? What is your favorite memory so far from the Great Loop and from your travels as a whole? What is your favorite item on the boat?

You asked for questions... 1) What portion of the time is Elliot working while the boat is underway? Any issues with engine noise at these times and tips to help quiet it down? 2) How many cruisers do you encounter under 40yr old? Do you still visit with many of the 50yr+ traditional docktail loopers? 3) Do you use a social media program to coordinate timing of posts between platforms? 4) Does wifi or cell service dictate your location or has it generally worked well everywhere? 5) Have you felt unprepared or faced any navigation challenges not addressed by the book or your charts?

Hi Elliot and Jenn. There are so many questions we’d love to ask you but simply, what in particular inspired you to pick the Great Loop as your adventure at this time (we are hoping to do this ourselves!) ? Safe travels. Kind regards, Pete & Caroline.

My question is regarding any survey that you might’ve had done prior to the purchase of Pivot? Did you get a professional survey? If so, do you feel the survey was thorough? Did they give you a clear picture of the condition of the decks?

Like to understand cost of boat. Ballpark if not comfortable with sharing. Did the survey tell you about deck and tiolet?

It looks like my question might not have posted, I'll try again! What is the one additional thing you would like to have on Pivot if space or money allowed? (Freezer, cooking tools, toys, etc)

I know you’ve dealt with seasickness from time to time (as most boaters do). What have you found that prevents it and helps you deal with it?

It looks like you have a folding counter on the port side below your (chart area)? If so, do you ever use it and how well does it work for you?

We are going to be filming a Q&A video in the next few weeks and want to hear your questions! Do you have questions about our boat, having a pet on the loop, cameras we use, or our roles on the boat? Ask them here and we'll do our best to answer them in an upcoming video!
