He literally broke away from Whitebeard’s crew to start his own — the Blackbeard Pirates — showing his independence.
And when you think about what happened at God Valley, losing Rocks… and whatever tragedy might soon unfold with Eris, you can sense the sad memories that must be carved deep into his mind!

Now i think i understand BB's true dream. It's not to be King of the world. It's pure revenge. I think that's all black beard truly desires. He became a monster so he could get revenge. The king of the world thing is only a ruse so his true intentions remain hidden, while also revealing who is ultimate target is.
