Genesis VII

Would appreciate your input please!!

After months of debating I will be multistreaming here on YouTube (Hopefully next week!) The battle I've had is that I don't always stream games that fit here on the channel (Non RPGs) so I would love your input on ways to tackle this so if you choose to watch a stream it'll be something that falls in line with the channel and might be of interest to you.

For those wondering I'm currently doing a first full playthrough of Dragon Quest XI S and I plan to play a Final Fantasy after I've finished that. But sometimes I like a break between long games and like to play a platformer or something like that.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

I remember a while back the algorithm favored having separate channels for different types of content but I don't think it applies anymore, so putting everything on 1 channel should be fine in terms of the reach and engagement of the audience. One thing you could do is maybe have set days for different games e.g. Monday is RPG Friday is Platforming etc, so that the audience can get used to when the content will be live 👍

I think most people, regardless of what their favourite content may be, still appreciate a look at other things. I happen to enjoy many generes and franchises. I'm sure I'm not alone.

I have no ideia how the algorithm works, but now a days I prefer watch things on on YT because it’s work better on my TVs and it’s where I watch most of the things now a days.

Dragon Quest 11 is an incredible game. Have fun! Personally, I just stay on YouTube.

If your channel was mainly RPGs before you might keep it that way and stream other stuff on your second channel. However it seems that most people so far want it all. 😊

There’s many ways to look at this, I think people come for the news, about their favorite games, yet stay for the personality, authenticity and quality of content; with that said, stream everything, and expand

Honestly, I don't know, would choose what makes the best clicks for you. I myself am not heavily interested in Streaming, would think it influences the performance of your Channel negatively.

You have a 2nd Channel??? Link? (or Twitch Link)

Is it not the case that, if you’re a variety streamer long enough, EVENTUALLY the algorithm stops being a detriment? I mean, there must be some reason variety streamers make it work.

Have "On the job" streams and "Just chilling" or "Casual" streams. You can't do it all right? So have some time away from the main focus but keep on stream. If you feel strongly about focus then stream "RPG-adjacent" games... Stuff like "Chocobo Racing" or "Einhander" as well. ALL HAIL THE ALGORITHM!
