I’ve found that upon the arrival of this very feeling, I attempt to redirect and arrest the feeling firstly with being aware of it. From that point, it seems to be halted from progressing further and spiraling, almost like a thrown ball that I catch. Then I hold it, quickly analyze the intention and absorb. From there I can attempt to re-center myself, even if it’s just for a moment and at least change that feeling into something more akin to active listening, even if I’m not in agreement with the initial comment made. At the very least, just listening while being aware and in the moment is mindfulness, where I am in control of my thoughts; not the other way around. Peace within chaos, Nathan

I like the commentary but some people have been burned so many times by people they have a shield up at all times, I get it though it's a process.

I think like this sometimes. Other times, I see that other people are just not as involved as I am, so why bother with them at all?
