Bubba is doing MUCH better today, and 2 things just happened that are AMAZING for him.
So for the past 2 days, the only food he's been willing to eat is this special food I bought that is basically just plain shredded chicken breast. It's a limited ingredient diet meant for cats that are sick.
Now he would eat this thank God, but this food isn't meant to be the only food they eat. It doesn't have all the nutrients a cat needs, but it's better than nothing.
For 2 days, I tried to give him real cat food, for 2 days he flat out refused to take a single bite, regardless of flavor.
Well, Bubba has been acting better today. He's been sleeping like normal instead of pacing around and meowing a lot. Also seems happier and more energetic when he IS up and about.
But then, a few minutes ago, he went into his litter box. He took the first SOLID poop he's had in DAYS.
Immediately after leaving the litter box, he comes up to me and starts meowing. Not an uncomfortable meow, but a HUNGRY one.
I go and make him a can of cat food, assuming he will do what he always does, which is smell it and walk away.
I put it down, he basically claws my fucking fingers off as I put it down, and he STARTS EATING IT.
And he KEEPS eating it, one entire can of cat food in a single sitting, even licking the bowl clean.
He's FINALLY gotten all the vitamins and nutrients he needs back into his body, and RIGHT AFTER taking a solid normal shit!
And now that he's done eating, he ran around a bit, cleaned himself, and is laying down for a nap. Just like normal.
I want to thank everyone in the stream last night who helped support me with Bubba. He is finally TRULY getting better, and I can't even begin to describe the amount of stress that's been lifted off of me.
Another stream tonight, more pb attempts, and this time with 1 less burden to worry about! Be there!
