Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror of the Ottoman Empire, in his letter to Jahan Shah of the Qara Qoyunlu, addressed him with the title *“Shah of Iran”*: *"The letter of the Paradise-dwelling Sultan Mehmed Khan Ghazi to the Shah of Iran, Jahan Shah Mirza."*
It is noteworthy that, as always, the letters were written in Persian.
