RiverRock, a house that was first envisioned as The Penfield House in 1959 but is only now coming to light from the archives, is the fulfillment of Frank Lloyd Wright's last residential design in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. This project, long believed to be lost to history, is the final Wright design that has not been constructed but is still connected to its original location. A particular poplar tree that was crucial to Wright's vision is still standing in its original location. Owners Sarah and Debbie Dykstra began on the difficult task of erecting the stone house exactly as Wright had intended two years ago, in 2023. They made sure that every visible element adhered to the original plans while subtly modifying it to comply with modern building requirements.
