I quit working out for martial marts about 3 years ago and I don't regret any minute. I've healed all these fictional problems and gained a lot more confidence and chill. Fitness industry became toxic and is causing unnecessary complexes

The fact that a 315 bench would be thought by anyone to be anywhere NEAR 7% bodyfat or 26" arms in terms of difficulty is wild

I’m 50 years old (next month) and guys half my age say they draw inspiration from me. If that doesn’t make me feel good about what I’ve accomplished, nothing will

This is just an argument for why you shouldn't compare yourself to most people. Raise your bar.

Every time I go to a cruise/resort/pool I'm reminded how few people care about their bodies at all..

I used to be down to around 6% body fat at 19. I was miserable haha. 32 now and around 20%. Healthier, feel better mentally and physically and making gains and lifts like I've never done before. Guarantee worrying about body fat if you're not overweight is pointless and largely detrimental.

When I was in my late teens/early 20s, I always wanted single digit BF% but then seeing how miserable and unhealthy people were in the range, I quickly became content with 15-20% range

Ugh this is how I feel right now I haven’t worked out in 2 weeks, and I’ve gained a little weight overeating and a few months ago when I was at practice with my team we were doing fireman carry runs with each other and I couldn’t fireman carry a man over 200lbs more than twice and I felt so weak. With that said I gotta start working out again lol I’ll get there though

I wanted to bench 405 when I was a young man. I got to 345 3 sets of 5 with Starting Strength program and I tore one of my pecs. My life hasn’t been the same since. If I could go back I’d say F the bench and do dips instead.
