I LOVE YOU BRO!!! Facts facts facts facts facts!!!!! Gen AI has its place in other use cases - especially in medicine and drug discovery where it can be used to identify small molecule drugs to treat diseases so quickly it can significantly lower R&D cost. I feel Gen AI should be used to actually help human lives so that we can touch human lives personally through music and make that real connection with people!❤️

Art is one of the timeless pursuits of human experience. It’s not something that we should automate away from ourselves… Gen AI is remarkable for lightening the load on smaller tasks, but replacing actual art is something that I hope audiences mostly turn their heads on. It’s not as exciting to me knowing that the song was just generated without a process put into it. It’s the difference between a human chess player and a computer playing chess. The computer might technically be a “better” player, but it’s not really that captivating to bear witness to. Keep up your unique sound and making great mixes!

Posted this on your facebook too, but to also further support what @Hanabi_Music said: Many that know me well know that I am a big electronics and tech nerd. However, the way AI has been advancing recently has been pretty.....scary. It's funny because a video game I played as a kid, METAL GEAR SOLID 2 released back in 2001, talked about AIs controlling information, and now..... I also agree that AIs should NOT be used to make music or art. In a way it's kinda....cheating. Spotify has been seeking and pulling songs believed to be AI generated from their service. In the words of a great universe creator that I deeply regret not having the pleasure of meeting, with great power comes great responsibility. AIs can help people (provided they are used correctly and responsibly) or they can hurt them, with some examples including their unauthorized use of people's art to generate images, mimicking people's voices to say false things & even terking people's jerbs (South Park Reference). It's a safe bet that advanced AI like what we've been seeing is here to stay. Let's just do well to see to it that it is used for good and not destruction.

Sup y'all!
I've seen this app floating around called Suno lately and my goodness is it impressive! To think you can create entire songs that sound AMAZING with just the typing of a few words. Technology has come to a point now where, in the music production world, people are really scared and don't really know how to react.
Let me tell you how I am going to react: I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. I will continue to produce music on my own, collab with live artist, and bring you electronic music that comes from the HUMAN SOUL, not from a machine that is trained on an algorithm. I quit using AI video in my productions about 6 months ago, and I will continue to stand against "artists" trying to pass off work a computer did as their own. It's not only thievery, it's fraud.
AI will become the new form of ghost production, something that has always made me super angry but I didn't really speak out against it like I should have. Well, in this new modern era we now have just stepped into, I have another shot to stand up and do the right thing and speak out against generative AI (and yes, SPECIFICALLY generative AI).
I will NEVER use generative AI in my music. Ever. Why? It's the equivalent of the "no talent backdoor" to get in on the music industry. To type in a few words and have a whole ass song in minutes seems amazing to those who don't know how to produce. It's especially dangerous in the electronic music world too, as you can pass of any of these songs Suno creates as your own (because they are done /really/ well!).
I have been told in the past that I have a unique sound. People can tell it's MY music when I play it. I used to want to sound like everyone else (you know, that super commercial sound that is on so many other labels) until I realized that I have a UNIQUE sound and it WORKS on the dancefloor! I am now embracing this to the n'th degree, and this, my friends, is what will make me stand apart from AI "art."
Can AI replicate my specific sound? Probably. But if it DOES and the song comes from another name, you'll know it's not a Theology remix, but just AI and it's thievery and fraud.
So here's to the future of music... and if I find out you are using GENERATIVE AI (not AI to like rip a vocal or a sample or something) to "create" music and pass it off as your own, I'm going to call you out. Until you are caught, enjoy living the life of a fraud!
Sincerely,
-The New Theology who is now going to say his opinions and not worry about it ruffling feathers anymore. Yes, I'm the mental health guy, but sometimes some tough love is required in life.
