WOW the amount of courage that it takes to be so open about such a dark situation. This is not the best time to be alive and find purpose and meaning in anything it seems. Finding balance between artistic expression and making art sustainable is almost impossible. There are people who heard your music, saw your artwork and changed their entire style and taste not only in music and realise that in a way you left unforgettable mark in this genre. I am glad that i am one of those people. <3

This hurts my heart immensely….I feel fortunate to have discovered your music but I know that an artist as talented as you definitely is not getting his proper shine…it still twists my knickers every time I see how limited the exposure your releases receive…I hope you continue to find inspiration and the power to exert your will upon an industry that seems indifferent or uninterested most of the time…for what it’s worth I will continue to support and introduce your stuff to everyone who will pause long enough to be blown away by your catalog…guard your heart ,bolster your armor and try not to lose yourself as you navigate the madness

As corporations and governments further and further encroach on what was once an untamed expanse, their grip will tighten. What was existing on the fringes but with some sort of support from corporations, will be pushed further away. The internet is going to balkanize, communities and fandoms will start to move back and away from the the larger crowds of normies who are fed more and more of the corporatized stuff, and next more and more product from generative "AI". For actual creators, artists of all stripes who produce things that have no places in a mainstream with more and more impervious boundaries, I'm afraid the future is into relatively small tight-knit, gatekept communities existing mostly out of sight of the leviathan. Complicated times are ahead for the authentic counter cultures and sincerely fringe art, but it is also an opportunity for more creative freedom. The time of trying to reach the most people is over for all the artists who actually have something of value to offer. Welcome back to the past, when art was made for its own sake.

Btw Alex you are a fantastic artist. There are so many songs I refuse to skip that youve made. It all started with toonami, had some fun with audio x3, ALL the akumas and i have been jamming with my full clam out to your recent work. I understand you have financial needs that arent being met which fucking sucks and shouldnt be the case, but do not let that take away from your artistry. You have amazing skills that you can translate through music, so never forget that you have the capacity to do great things, just as you have been. Much love from the US my mans.

It's a complicated question that don't has a good answer imo. I have around 30 spotify playlist of artist that i juggle around while driving to work or gaming session. I will say that i don't discover much new artist and currently it's mostly with games that i find new ost to listen being Fury or Windblown for exemple. Being an artist is rougth because the quality you procude can't be quantifed. And producing something niche don't help with that either. Most of the time it ends up being 90% luck, being at the right place, on a specific film / game trac ; having youtube algorythme blessing you... Most important thing is loving what you do and one day people will bounce up with you.

I'd like to hear some of your music as OSTs for some sci-fi series or smth. You really got some stuff to offer. More recognition and probably more money here too.

I think if more people listened to Witchcraft we could enter the dark times faster and get humanity over with. Or people would jam idk

WHAT IS ALEX
What’s your thoughts on the music industry these days?
I used to be all for Spotify. But they’ve been making really poor decisions lately and only seem to benefit signed artists whilst making it more difficult for independents. I’ve watched myself and other artists I know account’s plummet in listenership over the last couple years.
YouTube music isn’t much different either. Despite all the subs, I get paid crumbs despite working so hard on here & even with over 500 upload, it feels like showing my work into a ghost town at times.
Live shows are so few and far between too. When I email promoters and venues, I never get a reply so it’s clear that there’s so much gate keeping going on still. Even when I did a support performance for Sierra Veins at her London show, I was paid a fraction of the cost to be there, treated like garbage by booking management and despite the organisers being impressed, I never got any callbacks. Especially after performing my heart out,
I was treated like a ghost.
Even collaborating with other artists has faded a bit too where people I’d regularly work with have in their majority seemed to have lost interest or even previously interested potential ones have lost the spark.
I feel pretty discouraged to be an artist at the moment. I wish things would change for the better. I announced multiple albums and the only interaction I got was ‘good job?’. So I just feel kinda exhausted naturally.
I feel super stuck.
I’ll keep going but just don’t know what the answers are.
Thanks for putting up with my vent if you got this far. Might delete later.
