This is a cool material, another cool way to recycle plastic is pyrolysis. You should do a video on them maybe showing ttgroup reactors.

Personally I think it could help massively, but the question is will anyone bother? Ultra rich companies don't like to change their wasteful ways, we all know it, so what incentive would get them to back it? Because, again, as we all know too well, the ultra rich need incentives in order to do anything for someone other than themselves, we need to deal with that kind of attitude first, then I think you're onto a winner 🥇

This is exactly what we need to replace sheet metal on cars. Door skins, fenders, boots, and bonnets could all be made with this. The positive impact on the environment would be pretty substantial; sheet metal production creates a lot of pollution. I assume this material would have good insulating characteristics, so it would be a great replacement for drywall, especially if its as good of an insulator as I assume. I would really like to know how well it insulates. Maybe do a followup video? So yes, I firmly believe this stuff could change a lot.

So much better, then trying to build 'Wandering Islands' in the Ocean out of most of it?!🌎🌍

It could, but there has to be viability beyond goverment subsidies. You're onto something, along with the pretty corrupt recycling schemes around the world, misrepresented to public. It's complicated, but i'd buy a simple product for 2× the price, if i knew it's recycling something impossible before. Unless it's a really expensive item. We're all contaminated inside and out with plastic microfibers anyway, so it's a done deal and continue until we find a global alternative or strict recollection of all polymers after use (an impossible task). Let's not drown in them though. Take note, that even multimillion cean cleanup hyped on YT last year couldn't even touch 0,1% of estimsted ocean plastic waste.
