Relieved, definitely. It signals to me that they are ready to talk and focus on a practical conversation where the message is the main thing. Additionally, it gives me a first indication that they have a certain level of education and openness. Furthermore, if a Czech person switches to English to talk to me, it balances out the conversation as it’s established in a neutral language where no one has an advantage over the other controlling the speech. So I really feel relieved, grateful and relaxed.
