After listening to Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us), something tells me that Vox’s ego will be his own undoing by Season 2’s end.

Oh absolutely, Vox is shaping up to be such an interesting kind of antagonist because he’s not just brute force like some of the other overlords—we’re seeing how calculated and manipulative he can be. I totally agree that the whole “me” vs “us” moment in Hazbin Guarantee really stood out, and it feels like a hint that his ego won’t let him truly see Valentino and Velvette as equals. That could definitely cause fractures in the Vees down the line, especially if they all have different visions of how to control Hell or deal with the Hotel. What makes it extra fun is that Vox seems obsessed with attention and image—he wants to be the face of power, not just part of a collective. If the Hotel keeps gaining traction, it could threaten his entire “brand” of dominance, and I imagine that’ll make him act even more erratic and personal toward Charlie and her crew. I also think we’ll see how his rivalry with Alastor comes into play, because Vox might underestimate how deeply personal Alastor takes challenges like this, and that clash could get explosive. So yeah, between Vox’s ego, Valentino’s cruelty, and Velvette’s hunger for influence, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Vees end up clashing with each other almost as much as with the Hotel. Honestly, I think that’s where Charlie and the residents might get a surprising advantage—while the Vees are too busy tearing each other apart over power, the Hotel could solidify its foundation and prove redemption does work. I’m so excited to see where this all goes! Season 2 feels like it’s going to balance the heavenly war and the internal hell politics in such a cool way.

I agree with you. I caught that as well, when I listened to the track. And then Vox trying to cover it up, with Velvet and Valentino being like "Yeah, sure. Whatever." It leads me to think that Velvet and Valentino could switch sides, and go against Vox... That would be interesting to see.

I think Vox’s ego and desire for solo power is what’s gonna cause Velvette or Valentino to want to leave and go to the hotel. I HIGHLY doubt it’ll be Valentino if it happens cause he’s way too evil, Velvette and Vox aren’t any better but I think Velvette is the one who’s most likely to join the hotel

Vox is the type of person who has a very high ego, it doesn't surprise me that he wanted all that power for himself and the truth is that if it weren't for him, Valentino and Velvette wouldn't be what they are in part.

It still feels weird that Vox is the top dog of the V’s now instead of Valentino. I got so used to Val being the one calling the shots - and even abusing Vox, that this retcon feels a bit out of place. I really am excited in how his character plays out because of it though.

after the Hazbin Hotel season two official trailer, it has me thinking about all the ways that Vox could be a potential nuisance to Charlie and the other hotel staff and residents! it's clear that him, Valentino, and Velvette will not let the hotel rest if it means a chance to earn more power and influence in Hell, but obviously, a desire for power as strong as their own could lead to internal conflict! Vox's usage of the word "me" instead of "us" at the end of Hazbin Guarantee shows he may not be the most willing to share power! anyways, i hope you all have a wonderful thursday, and feel free to let me know in the replies your Hazbin Hotel season two predictions! :D
