Fibre - this view that we don't need fibre and we will be fine if we never eat it again is becoming an accepted fact in some circles!

Heavy metals. There is so much discussion lately about foods contaminated with heavy metals (flax seed, protein powder, canned tuna, green tea, dark chocolate, cinnamon). Are there any accurate tests either purchased directly as a consumer or labs done at the doctor's office to accurately test for heavy metals? And if levels are high, how to resolve?

Optimizing for improving brain health/cognition and preventing dementia. Additionally if you can cover the grey areas in food science/medicine where the answer isn’t obvious (for example how processed does a food need to be ultra processed and/or unhealthy)

Hi doc! Could you please look into this social media advice: "Completely stop eating carbs to starve cancer cells"? I can't see that you already addressed this topic? Thanks a lot!

I have a few topics I’d like more clarity on: - how dietary fat (of all kinds) contributes to insulin resistance. More clarity around the mechanism of intramyocellular fat blocking glucose uptake. - why protein recommendations are all over the place and where the common 1.6g/kg recommendation came from when respectable researchers like Christopher Gardner suggest that’s far too much - How dietary AGEs impact metabolic disease risk - How nutritional RDAs were established and what the research says about adequate intake of nutrients for which there are no RDAs like choline

The "latest & greatest" in the understanding of Lp(a) & its effect on cardiovascular risk & overall health... How far along are the various drug trials and when may we see them available for secondary, & eventually primary prevention? It would be amazing if you were able to rope in Dr. Sam Tsimikas for a discussion. Thx Gil!

Probiotics. I feel like they are pushed a lot now-a-days, but are they necessary, helpful, harmful, and/or just a waste of time.
