That applies to every statement of fiction; if there is no reinforcement to support that mention of infinite power, it falls into hyperbole or incomplete evidence. An example is the mention in the Sonic movie where it appears on Eggman's screen that the hedgehog's quills have infinite power. Yeah, infinite potential, but then we see that its maximum power with the Chaos Emeralds boosting it is only planet level
