Amos Lee

One theme of Transmissions is trying to lament and celebrate and honor people we’ve lost, but also trying to connect with the presence of the people we have. It’s that mid-life thing. There’s a better balance of appreciation of the people you have, it becomes deeper, it becomes more fragile. And that inspires me to write, trying to find the gratitude in the shadows of all of this loss.

Transmissions out Friday, August 9th. Pre-save or pre-order now - orcd.co/transmissions

By far my favorite singer songwriter. Listened to your first two albums while walking my little boy in his stroller today. He always gets so relaxed. The best :)

That Gratitude has always been there, with you..within all of us. Sometimes throughout our journey it just gets forgotten. And that’s ok. It’s awakening now. 💕

Gratitudes pretty much one of the only things that is getting me through what I’m going through. And that is just barely and probably if I’m being honest with myself only occasionally the rest is just coasting with numbness, shock trauma. But I’m grateful there’s a another person out there or even the community, some suggest it’s actually all of humanity, they must contend with grief and tragedy, and discover the value of practice in gratitude. Either way I hope everyone’s OK. I really do. Grateful for letting me share.
