The best part is that if you don’t want to agree to them gathering as much data on you as possible, their solution is for you to return or get rid of your device 🤦🏻♂️. I heard that they are working or making this feature (I’m pretty sure it was Roku) that they can somehow detect when you’re playing on a game console, and if it detects the game being paused, they’ll show ads on the screen. You payed for that device, but yet, you get ads shoved in your face, unbelievabl

"including via antenna, apps, and connected devices"
No, I don't f**king want you to know what im watching, or using my TV for. You have no legitimate reason to know what I'm watching. I use an apple TV for a reason, and Roku thinks they just have the right to know what I'm playing on it? Immediately disconnecting this TV from the internet. You do not have a right to my data Roku. Respectfully, piss off.
Went to turn off this setting, theres a text box that reads the following:
"If enabled, Roku will use ACR to collect content viewing on your devices (including via antenna, apps, and connected devices) to improve content recommendations and ads. If not enabled, *Roku will still collect some viewing information through other methods.*"
"We will still collect your viewing information through other methods"
Thats not how a setting toggle works, If I turn a setting off, that means it's off. Period. If I say "do not collect my watch data" that means "DO NOT COLLECT MY WATCH DATA"
THERES NO EXCUSE AND SHOULD BE NO WAY AROUND IT
