The Song of Troy: Premise

9 years into the Trojan War, everyone is exhausted. Agamemnon has gone insane, only listening to Menelaus, who is desperate to reunite with Helen. Ajax has gone feral, and has to be chained when not in battle. Odysseus and Nestor’s sanity is the most intact, but they are both still weary. Diomedes is hallucinating that Athena is helping him…and Achilles?…he’s lost it….

Achilles will only allow Patroclus to see him…his war bride, Briseis, has been taken from him…and he and the Myrmidons have drawn back, but at the cost of being shunned and given no food…they had to eat their weakest links…

Achilles has been haunted by hallucinations and nightmares, his heel surrounded by arrows…he doesn’t know what it means…he’ll soon find out, though…

Patroclus bas quickly become the only voice of reason in the entire Achaean upper class…he BEGGED Achilles to fight Again…but Achilles refused.

Hector and Paris have been fighting. The abduction of Helen started all this bloodshed. Memnon and Rhesus are sending reinforcements, but Troy is running out of Food…they have to drive the Achaeans back…

Cassandra is the voice of the people in Troy: she tells King Priam what they want, but her warnings fall on deaf ears, Priam is too protective of Paris to listen.

Paris and Helen’s relationship is in shambles. Helen is ashamed of getting abducted by Paris, and Paris…he can’t even look himself in the mirror and not see a monster…

Everything’s going wrong…this can’t go on…
