πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ "Is this watch too big for my wrist?" <-- I hear that question all the time!

So, I created a simple Watch Size Calculator you can use to find the perfect size range for your wrist --> watchsizeguide.com/

Do me a favor: try it out for yourself and let me know what you think? I want to dial it in so it's just right.

Of course, watch size isn't *only* about case diameter. So, on that same page, I included a bunch of extra info about watch sizing and dimensions.

Let me know what you think!

I'm glad to see the era of comically large watches fading

Lug to lug to wrist width ratio is a more accurate representation of how it fits on one's wrist.

The calculator works well. I generally wear watches that are right in the middle of the minimum and maximum values it generated, or 38mm. My go to’s are the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38 and the Casio W-217H 38mm for gym and daily wear.

Checked my wrist soze (6.5”) and got 34-41mm which is spot on. Good job Brock!

It has been extremely useful. Thanks. Is there a way I can estimate whether a rectangular watch would be suitable for my wrist?

Nice work, Brock. I’ve been in this hobby long enough to call it a lifestyle, not a phase, and I think this tool of yours is right on the money.

"Is my ego too small for that watch" -- well, I can always ask Flavor Flav for a second opinion.

This is a nice quick way to do it, but be wary of watches with more extreme lug to lug lengths. Even a respectable 38-40mm case might have 48mm+ lug to lug which will overhang small wrists. Unfortunately many brands don't say the lug to lug length for their products.

Much more than just case size goes into how big a watch looks on your wrist. For example: lug to lug measurement, bezel thickness, bezel colour, case thickness, bracelet or strap, lug width, case material, dial colour, and the amount of negative space on the dial.
