Either something with speed selection if you are going for high quality embroidery or aplicae or something heavy duty that'll punch cleanly through heavier materials for stuff like pants and jackets. Brother has a good quality for the price digital sewing/quilting machine with a speed limiter and i have been very happy with my singer heavy duty on canvas and wool blankets that i turned into cloaks

What do you look for in sewing machines?
I am looking to upgrade as my current one is on the way out. I know I want something that auto threads haha, but other than that, I am not sure what I "need" for garbing purposes. I already have a serger, so I do not need to go that direction.
What are your suggestions?
