Fantastical Follies Costuming

What's your favorite instant gratification project? We all need a little quick & easy project from time to time! This Edwardian riding corset fit the bill; it only took me about 3 days to put together! Great to use up scraps in your stash, and so versatile a look!

If you'd like to see how I made this (including a sneaky little hidden busk, as shown in the third photo!) the video is out now!

You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/k_alEy3rfbc

Let me know--would you ever try this style?

Enjoyed watching you make this project and I'm planning to make a corset to support my back. My favourite easy project is a shift. It's just squares and rectangles and I can hand sew one in 2 or 3 days while I'm stuck in bed. I hope you can keep up the great work. Your energy and bubbly personality are a joy!🎉

I am going to need it because I am behind for an event!

I’m only a part time sewist, it’s not my main hobby, so I turn to the modern version of chainmaille when I need something fast and easy to convince myself I know how to do things. Usually it’s bracelets, sometimes earrings.

I've been wanting to make a waspy. Been busy with a miniature I'm working on! Loved the video!

That is a good question. The Speculative Viking Jackets might qualify, and I'm hoping so will shifts and shirts.

I saw this video but missed the end. I had wondered how you had both a busk and a smooth front. Very sneaky
