Sophie, my beloved best friend who was with me for literally over half of my life from age 9 to 21, passed away tonight at 16 years old. During the first 9 years of my life, my biggest wish was to have a dog and Sophie made my wish come true. When my mum’s co-worker was going through a divorce and had to move into a no-dogs apartment, she had to re-home 4 year old Sophie and my family adopted her in and we all fell in love with her immediately. Sophie helped create the best childhood memories for me and my brother with her goofy faces and silly personality. She was there for me when I was going through the worst times in my life throughout my teens and I would tell her everything that was going on while she slept through it. She would replace tears with smiles and would brighten up any room she walked into. She was not our pet, she was our FAMILY. I’m so heartbroken over losing someone who was there for me for literally most of my existence, but I am so grateful that she was there for that long. I love you so much Sophie and I can’t wait to see you again, things are not gonna be easy at all without you!! 💔 RIP Sophie 8/14/2007-8/29/2023 💔
