to answer your question, nobody really cares about rainbow high because everything that people liked about the dolls is now basically gone like the dolls now have terrible fashion, little to no articulation and the series for rainbow high has become so kiddy that all of the original fans left so yeah that about sums it up

The reboot of the doll line is quite hated among collectors as they are gimmicky (slime, lava lamp, sparkles) and they are oriented at younger kids, with less articulation. So currently they have quite a bad reputation đ

Collector here! There was a soft reboot a couple years ago that essentially targeted the brand towards younger kids. The series has basically dropped the art school concept and has moved towards a more generic âfantasy worldâ concept (Rainbow World). As for the dolls, they have lost wrist articulation (and even knee articulation in certain lines) and have recently stopped including stands. There are also fewer original characters being released, new lines mostly focus on the main characters (minus Poppy) These dolls often include a gimmick (like slime) that appeals to younger children. Let me know if I can clarify anything or have any specific questions, I really love Rainbow High and the new direction the line has gone is is sad to me, even though I do like some of the new characters.

The main appeal was the fashion school. It started to fall off with the whole "Rainbow Vs shadow" thing since the main focus was on the hate. The show had such potential to be both for kids and adults. And also showing men can be stylish and girlie, and women can be the opposite and so on.

Its overflowing with so many characters that the main cast feels left out.

In all honesty, the only reason I ever cared about it was your videos on it

When they rebooted the doll line they basically took all the passion out of it. Itâs really sad. It was such an original creative series, but the current dolls strip creativity more than they inspire it. I donât even think the show is running anymore so all marketing for the doll line (I said wine originally lolll) is also gone. Itâs depressing how quickly such a inspired series can turn completely corporate and lose all individuality.

I prefered when they came with stands and extra clothes and good articulation than whatever is going with them right now, I also miss Shadow High

I personally don't really collect them anymore, because of the reboot :(

You're opening such a can of worms there x'D Even putting the dolls/quality aside, the show has just randomly become a new fever dream of a show that went nowhere but some really blatant product placements.

The only the reason why I care about Rainbow high is because I love the Shadow high dolls so muchâŚbut then they decide to rebrand it and i donât like it at allđ

I kinda stopped watching the show after the whole magic world thing in itđ

So, basically, it rebooted itself to a younger audience, more focusing to a fantasy element than high school (And also, the 6th series suddenly changed it's focus halfway through to normal episodes with the girls (specifically Bella, Amaya, Skyler and Violet getting crystal looks to 2 minute episodes about, strangely, the main 8 girls' around 6 year old little sisters (HOW ARE THEY ALL THE SAME AGE)

I still watch the show. But I do miss it when the show used to be about Art, Creativity and Fashion. Now it's about Magic, Slime pets and little sisters and no one asked for them. After season 4 that's when MGA Entertainment started changing things and it just wasn't the same. There were other cool things MGA could have done for new seasons and I feel like they really dropped the ball. @NegativeLegend I would be really interested to see a pretty long video on the State of Rainbow High or "Does anyone still care about Rainbow High?" from you and I would love to hear your opinion on the new season. It would also be nice if we could get sales data on the dolls as well as the video game that was released a couple years ago.

Does anyone care about Rainbow High anymore? I totally fell off and I'm thinking about re-visitng it. Are the dolls still interesting? Has QC changed for better or worse?
