All jokes aside, meditation changed my life. It got me through some rough spots because of the clarity it gave me. I highly suggest to anyone who reads this try it for just a few minutes a day..

80% laying down. 20% sitting. I think I'm growing naturally more towards sitting and doing it outside.

I prefer cowgirl but missionary would work too Jk — Transcendental Meditation (TM) has been the biggest blessing in my life. I can’t do the breathing and following along. I like the fact that I can just go inward and allow the mind and body to do what it needs to do and no app or guidance necessary. Truly works wonders.

I have one of those foam blocks. I'll sit on it and do half lotus. It's about as straight as I can get my spine. Maybe I'll figure out full lotus eventually.

What’s your favorite position?
No, not that kind! We’re talking about meditation of course.
Whether you’re a famous pop star or degen gamer, we all need some meditation in our lives 😌 🧘
It can really help us be present, calm our minds, and understand ourselves more deeply.
It isn’t easy though. In fact, it’s common to start and stop, or not want to start at all, because it’s something we’re not used to.
We’re busy people living in a technology-obsessed world. We’re constantly trying to be productive or getting distracted or chase that next dopamine hit.
It’s no wonder slowing down and being mindful is so difficult.
But if you’re looking for a sign to start meditating–this is it!
You don’t have to be like those monks who meditate for hours at a time. Start with basic meditation a few minutes each day. As you get comfortable with it, you can increase the amount of time you spend meditating.
If you want to understand the history and science behind meditation as well as different practices (different practices work for different people), check out the Meditation module in Dr. K’s Guide to Mental Health. This could be a good jumping off point for your meditation journey:
