People cherish the cinema experience so much. I highly doubt it will die due to how embedded it is into our culture. It offers such a beautiful sense of magic and scale that will never fade.

Movie theaters are still as relevant as ever. If you look online you see countless memes referencing watching a movie at a theater, or how you go dressed to a theater for a certain movie. They may become a vintage way to watch a movie one day but it’ll always be the best way to experience a movie, not as a casual watch but as an experience

I’ll purchase 1000 tickets before I let the theatre die

Seeing as how other "inconvenient" forms of media/art like vinyl records are still pretty popular, I don't think they'll ever die. They might be less popular, but I think there will always be an audience for it

The studios killed the theatre, and physical media for streaming, and their streaming services have been a complete disaster. Well done guys. I'm sure Disney+ is going to make a profit any day now.

I can’t see movie theaters dying out forever for a while. Movie earnings have gone down, but that doesn’t mean they’re dead. They’ll come back strong eventually

If they lowered prices on tickets and snacks...they would bring in more people and make more money 💰

They aren’t even close to going down. They are just as strong as they have ever been. And it will never stop

It is mostly the movie studio's fault that they are suffering with insane ticket prices and their streaming 2 weeks after it comes out. It used to be like 3 months from theater release to home viewing.

I tell you, the theater was SOLD OUT when I tried to take my kid to see the 1st TMNT. As long as they play to the older audience and play some the classics, it won't die so easily.

Unless Hollywood gets back to making quality movies, theaters are toast.

I think ticket prices should come back down to help but again all we have had is super hero movies for the past 10years or so.

Normal theaters still exist. I see no reason why movie theaters would be going anywhere. In time it might change and evolve but i dont see it actually going anywhere.

It’s more of a “when” vs “if” at this point. Ppl forget theaters make literally nothing off of tickets alone. All the money comes from concessions and the way everybody complains about the prices they’re not gonna keep buying a 12$ popcorn. I give it 5 yrs or so
